are very small and can be easily carried when traveling. Further, the

asset. Some of these scanners weigh less than one pound making them very
easy to carry around. Another product that is available commercially is
produced by Canon. It is the Pixma ip100. This printer is very small and
compact. It can easily be carried while traveling and has a very high
ppm - page per minute - output in both black and white and color ink.
This printer, amazingly, weighs less than five pounds.

Both of these products are efficient, lightweight, and reasonably
priced. Both currently sell for less than $200 in the United States.
They are considered to be very reliable and produce excellent quality
scans and prints. Unfortunately, if you want this excellent quality, you
will have to carry both pieces of equipment. Finding a machine that will
both scan and print and is lightweight seems to be impossible. At one
time, portable printers and scanners really weren't that portable, but
now there are quality products available that are lightweight and
